  • Wild and wondrous – The Tanda Tula Safari Camp
    Fluffy towels and fancy slippers along with silky bathrobes and soft warm beds are just some of the many amenities that are available here. There are big bathrooms with hot and cold water and electricity. The roof is made of thatch and the walls are made of canvas. You might want to hide away your cell phones and your other valuable as the money have figured out how to unzip the entrance of the tents. The Timbavatu Private Nature reserve is on the northeast border of South Africa.   • South Africa – Language, Culture and Festivals
    Last night I sat watching the repeat telecast of one of the football matches, played during the FIFA ’10 World Cup, relayed on some sports channel. I’d had a tiring day, so the idea of going to my cozy bed interested me more than watching the repeated goals-glory. But another thought struck me and was awakened from my virtual sleep.   • Just desert – Ghadames’ inimitable charm
    Libya is a criss-cross of cultures and history, and it is all capped off by sheer Byzantine splendor. Tripoli is a crucible of this history and a reflection of the times it has seen, but it is not where I am. Instead, the spectacular desert scenery of Libya is my setting instead, very nearly 700 km southeast of Tripoli as the bird flies and as if to greet my arrival the desert dervishes dance up a sandstorm all around me, clouding out everything with the golden particles acting as a blanket. In a few minutes the silent song and dance show is all over and all that remains is sand snaking its way around the car. What a welcoming committee!   • Fill yourself up with tasty Liberia
    Liberia is known for its amazing food. The hearty and spicy food here is heavily influenced by the many immigrants that reside here. Over the years, this tiny coastal country is home to many cultures and people of different countries. West African cooking is very strongly felt in the food here.
