Lammergeier Private Nature Reserve is situated in the extreme south edge of the Drakensberg Mountain ranges in the middle of Barkly East and Lady Grey in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
The reserve encompasses close to eight thousand ha of land, and has been at the receiving end of numerous awards and accolades from the conservation segment. The reserve houses a huge number of animal, bird and plant species that are endemic to this region.
Lammergeier Hide is located in the Giants castle reserve in Drakensberg. Lammergeier is actually another name for the Bearded Vulture, a bird of prey that is at present endangered.
