  • The Zakouma National Park of Chad
    The Zakouma National Park is an African national park situated in between Am Timan and Sarh; to be more precise Zakouma is located in the southern part of Chad, a Central African nation. Zakouma was established in the year 1963 and is the first of its kind to be built at Chad. Zakouma National Park covers a total area of around 1,200 square miles or 3,000 sq. km. During the civil conflict the development and maintenance of the park was ignored upto a great extent; however, from 1989 a restoration program was initiated in association with European Union. This restoration program continued for almost two decades, till the year 2006.   • Visiting the West African Village of Ganvie
    Ganvie is located in the country of Benin, West Africa. It is a village constructed on the Lake Nokoué. The exact location of this unique village is towards the north of the largest city and administrative capital of Benin, Cotonou. You will need close to an hour for reaching Ganvie from Cotonou. Often it is said the locals of this village are not too affable towards the tourists visiting the place. However, if you can ignore this feature of the village, Ganvie is a place that’s truly worth visiting. The entire town is built on stilts. Each of the shops, restaurants and houses of the village are constructed using wooden stilts and is located several feet over the water level.   • The Ras Mohammed National Park of Egypt
    Ras Mohammed National Park is located in Egypt; to be more precise the national park is situated on the extreme south of Sinai Peninsula. On the west of Ras Mohammed, there’s Gulf of Suez and on its east, there’s Gulf of Aqaba. In this article we’ll be discussing about the history and the current status of the Ras Mohammed National Park. During the time when Egypt got back Sinai Peninsula, actions like fishing and other similar human activities got prohibited in this national park. Certain methods used for fishing, for instance using knives and dynamites were also affecting the coral reefs; besides that the effects of these activities on the fish population of this region was quite obvious.
